We are inspired by the story of Mkabayi ka Jama who was the first female regent of the Zulu nation. Known for her strong character, she lead her tribe to incredible successes and advised king Senzangakhona and later Shaka Zulu following her father’s death. It is common in Zulu folklore to say "Buza kuMkabayi" meaning "Consult Mkabayi" because of her role in advisory. It is this same philosophy and passion for female lead leadership that we embody at Mkabayi Group.
